Fundraising & Marketing
I am at ease with the notion of making a fundraising “ask” and adept in the nuances of solicitation and stewardship. I generate and cultivate long-term relationships. Along the way, I have structured a wealth of challenge gifts and other participation-based efforts.
With over twenty years of non-profit marketing experience, I am comfortable on a tight budget and schedule. I map strategic plans that balance goals and resources. Whatever your target audience, I am eager to call them to action, using a full range of media and events.
Creative Leadership
I am a director, I guide the development of marketing collateral and give great thought to taking care of the end user. Keenly focused on addressing business needs, I am adept at synthesizes conflicting viewpoints and emerging with clear solutions. Formally trained as a graphic designer, I respond equally the rich challenge of a blank slate or to that of extending a new brand system across an entire suite of identity and sub identities. My creative problem solving applies beyond marketing to the events, ideas, and feelings that mobilize a community.
Inspiration
I am shaped by the creative environments of my childhood—the still corners of New York City and the noisy fields of Vermont. I take cues from my years in theatre, collaborating and presenting on stage. And today, I get ideas from my Jamaica Plain neighborhood, where my block turned out for an after-blizzard dig-out “party” I organized. Above all, I am led by my black lab Ty, who, like me, lunges down urban and rural trails with insatiable curiosity.
